Lets put our attention to three words : Attributes, Parameters and GOAL.
The last word (GOAL) needs to be in capitals and does not require an 's' at the end. For it is singularly the most sought-after entity. We define our pursuit, conquer or our failure in capturing the GOAL through a series of analysis supplied by self, the audience and a few times by a few uninvited-guests (read relatives).
The confusion in defining attributes and parameters will lead one through excruciating period of time. You will hear that "a man who needs to achieve an ABC goal must have XYZ attributes" and his success in achieving that goal is measured using few parameters (which in most cases will end up being the amount of money earned. Since we live in democracy the majority votes for money and you give-in to that opinion). If you fail in achieving the goal, the same is applied.
Now comes the interesting section. The wanna-be part. Any guy who shares traits of a Gandhi or a Vallabhai Patel will necessarily not become a great person like one of them. Having their attributes will NOT have the same impact (India already has its independence from the British, now get over it). If you want to start a company you don't need to adopt the habits of successful men. Their attributes might NOT work for you. Your change will not help you.
How to be an entrepreneur?? Start by working on your passions. Things that make you happy. If you don't have one yet it only means that you need to explore more. A vast majority of people on this planet do not even have one. So if the day comes when you are 90-years old and you have nothing that makes you happy and you about to kick the bucket, don't worry. You tried and thats there is to it. Sure the people with passions and stuff get all the money and hot women but you get to be the guy who inspires hundreds of such people in finding their calling.
You will not be a successful entrepreneur or anything for that matter by following anyone else. Dressing like Steve Jobs does not help you in establishing an apple inc., The big question as always is "WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?". If you can answer that, you are done. If you can't, then just shut the hell up and keep looking.
