BEST AND WORST OF 2010

I made a list of movies I watched this year and I want to rank them accordingly. This week the Worst List.

  1. Thakita Thakita
  2. Bava
  3. Orange
  4. BRUNDAVANAM
  5. Hello Darling

The above listed films are the ones I had the misfortune of watching this year.
at No.5 is Hello Darling, remake of a very humourous film (the original was produced by Kamal Hassan and bearing his mark comedy). And the obvious reason for watching is me being a fan of Gul Panag. I've decided to admire her and not all of her movies.
at no. 4 is BRindavanam. A guy who boasts of Telugu pride and stuff names his film hindi style ( in Telugu its brUndavanam not brIndavanam). Mind numbing seems just about right to describe this film.
at no. 3 is Orange. Vollu thega balisi thirige vedhavalaki voche novel kashtaalu. 'Yedava sodi'.
at no. 2 is BAVA. The number given to this film describes it perfectly. I hoped this to be a sequel to Rajendra Prasad's classic 'Edurinti Mogudu Pakkinti Pellam' (based on the movie title). But when the whole film unit was so determined to make a phenomenal flop nothing could be done otherwise.
at no. 1 is Thakita Thakita. All the above movies combined cannot infuse enough pain to compare with the pain this movie caused. Bad acting would be a compliment to the lead actors.

RULES OF THE GAME

One of the best books of all time, 'KANYASULKAM' finished reading it again. 'KANYASULKAM' is the reverse of DOWRY. It was no-good either. Parents used to sell their daughters to very old men for the money. And prayed for the girl's husband to die so they sue the dead guy's family for some inheritance stuff. The girls got exploited for money in even this reverse scenario. What we should always remember is that its not the rules that are bad. Its the people who enforce them. The Kanyasulkam (reverse dowry) could've been given to the Girl's parents to help them with the post marriage life or with marriage expenditure.

All the rules in our society have mostly been made to do 'GOOD'. But the bureaucrats, the government officials and all the bloody politicians they screwed them up beyond recognition. People will come up a thousand or more reasons for not doing the right thing than discovering the one right reason to do it. What as humans we can do is to emphasize on what is good. And also on how we can keep the heart of the rules intact. Don't make a rule and ask people to follow it. The rule will be read by people who want to know. It will be studied by ones who want to bend it. And it will destroyed by ones who take advantage of it. Instead walk the right path and you'll see many following it. Rules of a game are set by the maker. 'Rules of the society' are set by us and more importantly by our actions.

RELIGION.

I'm not an atheist. I believe in GOD. But I don't believe in any specific religion. None of the religions of the world are right. Any religion's rules might've meant good but they mostly are executed wrongly. I cannot talk about other religions 'coz I don't know them so well. I'm a Hindu and there are many flaws in Hinduism that make me cringe. The points that I hate are as follows.

1. According to a few religious texts, a human should do as God tells him and not as he does. Then where the hell is the 'Lead by example scenario'. The only time God Vishnu is said to have led by example is His avatar as Ram. But even that avatar is debated.

2. Lord Krishna the ultimate hypocrite. This avatar pisses me off. A guy who boinks thousands of women talks to guys about what their dharma is. If the woman is willing to 'love' somebody other than her husband then even her husband should shut the hell up and hope she comes back. Women love this concept and thats why they love Krishna. My point is, if you love someone then why the hell do you get married to someone else. Aren't there laws against infidelity? They say the gopikas were married to some other guys. OMG!! And this guy teaches the Bhagavad gita. Literally, Holy shit.

3. The whole concept of paapam and punyam. As if the whole good karma bad karma is an account and every bastard tries to settle his accoun by donating money or doing a puja in a temple. All indian guys are good at that mathematical shit is because of this screwed up theory.

IPL Zindabad ?

I purposefully try to not give Cricket my sole attention when it comes to sport. I believe we should treat all sports and games equal (even if it is as slow as Golf, no offense). I don't like 20-20 cricket. I like the ODI format. ODI and TEST cricket needs proper cricket athletes. 'coz only they have the stamina to play for so long with good skill and a good control on nerves. Thats a good sporting challenge.

Coming to the point that intrigues me the most is the money part of IPL. If people can spend thousands of crores of rupees that publically then they could've been paying relative amounts of taxes to justify this expenditure. If they are spending so much in taxes, then what is the government doing with such freakish amounts of money. We have been looted of such incredible amounts of money all this time. 37% of our have been successfully screwed. We could be next if we don't act fast.Isnt tax from many such freakishly rich people who can afford to buy those IPL teams enough to get atleast 10% of that 37% out of poverty. If we consider those poor 37% of our population as people who beg from others, then our politicians and bureaucrats have been stealing from them. The whole country is getting ravaged by few people who have power.

Power if you really think about it, does not exist. Money is something we created. One person do not have to kill another person on the orders of the rich. Our duty today is to build a society of people who see money for what it is. Money is nothing but a medium to barter things thats it and nothing more. We have to raise future generations with proper ethics and standards that would eventually wipe out this shit off of our land. Lets work hard, honestly, sincerely and more importantly in a unbiased way. Lets wipe out cheap thoughts of race, caste etc from minds of people to the level that only history books should speak of caste and creed. Lets show the cheap assholes who are too proud of their caste or surnames where they stand.

"Be a Human. Do the Right Thing" (an abridged version of Russell Peters Famous dialogue).

I'M BACK

Recently I've had the privilege of someone telling me to stop blogging. And that someone (the comment was posted anonymous and so I'm maintaining the anonymity) also said what I wrote was terrible. And he/she/it was right. I wrote for the sake of writing something and that was wrong. It was like the padma awards. Our government gives away the padma awards for the sake of just giving them away as a ritual but not because it thinks the recipients deserve them.

Honestly, what the hell did saif ali khan do? And many more such people. They did some work alright, but do they truly deserve the awards. What was the reason? "If obama can get noble prize I can get bharatha ratna"? In the recent past we've been witnesses of many slaps. slaps in the face of democracy. Netas shamelessly saying "we don't have money to give an exgratia to the victims of a tragedy .But we do have enough money to make freakishly big garlands of Rs.1000 notes".

The padma awards and the bharath ratna should be given to people who truly deserve them not just because its that time of the year. Today any jackass with his freakishly unbelievable amounts can buy any award. Can anyone ever honestly say that everyone who got the padma awards or the bharath ratna are in the same league as Mother Teresa or MS Subbalakshmi? Getting a trophy doesn't make a winner. Getting an award doesn't make any one a great person. The world knows the truth. The likes of Mother Teresa do not need an award for people to know how great they actually were and are.

FINALLY SAW THE MOVIE 3 IDIOTS.

DEENI YENKHAMMA... Got the tickets for the movie twice but couldn't go. Finally watched it today morning. Not a great movie but definetly worth watching once. There are many points in the movie that show the suffering of students in the hands of the older people. Points to be noted from the script.

  1. Why do you feel an urge to kill yourself if you are failed?
  2. Why do you need to have courage to pursue a career you know you like than the one that someone chose for you?
  3. Why do some teachers want to control the lives and lifestyles of their students than teach them their craft?
And the Answers:

  1. If you have been brought up with myths than you'll grow up believing in them and even dying for them. If you were told since you were kid to follow what your dad says and never argue. Then when you become an adult you'll need courage to talk to him. This sounds bloody silly. End of the day you have to remember that everyone is a human. We are all flesh and bones nothing more. A college certificate is still a piece of paper and no matter how how great a dad is, he does not have the capability of living his son's/daughter's life. The reason why I ever scored good grades in my educational is mainly because I didn't think of them as life altering things or that my dad will make my life a living hell if I didn't pass. Eventually I became careless and presently lazy. So I kinda overdid it. But I know I'll become normal again. But there's no way in hell I'm gonna kill myself. Atleast, till I lose my virginity. Which is the reason why a lot of men live (Don't say 'no' 'coz our population proves you otherwise).
  2. I still don't know what I'm passionate about. I don't know what I'm great at. I don't know what I love. Hence forth I have no problem in doing any job. I don't have to do a particular job. But the people who do know what they like to do, apparently need guts to tell their parents about it. There was a guy in our college (Intermediate) who when asked to talk during the elocutions used to talk against the college's methods. I was in a corporate college which made students to study very hard. And this guy was bitching about it. He's just like above mentioned guys. When you don't have the balls to speak to your parents and telling them you don't want to go to some place they are sending you, then for god's sake keep it to yourself. Its people like them who don't have the guts to stand up. If the girl he likes tells them she likes him back, then this darpok will definetly run away to save his own ass from her family than fight for her.
  3. There many reasons for problem three.
  • The teacher would probably have skill of their own to teach.
  • The teacher is a guy who thinks he's a loser and to satisfy his insecurities tries to torment the student.
  • The teacher has superiority complex and believes the student has not enough intelligence to learn from him
  • The teacher has prejudice towards the clothes that his student wears and his lifestyle and thinks he's no good for learning. That way the teacher has given up before even starting.
Teachers might know how to teach. But a few know how to help his/her students learn. I used to have a lecturer in my B.Tech days. He used to believe that a good student is a guy who wears formal shirt and trousers and wears chappals. Any guy wearing a t-shirt to class was his sworn-enemy and and anyone who speaks to girls is a good-for-nothing. The guy's name is Baswa Rao. I have lost all my interest in chemistry and chemical engineering thanks to guys like him. There was not one guy in my B.Tech who helped me learn. I'm not a smart guy, I know that and I needed help. But whose got the time for it. My time was spent in reaching the college and coming back. It once took my 7 hrs to go to college and come back. Bloody journeys...

Assholes who wore the lecturer's fav dress code were budhdhimanthulu and I was a good -for-nothing. Well I still hope he clears his eyes before he screws up another kid from the college.

After the blasphemous years of B.tech I found happiness in my Post Grad. I love where I work now. I love the people I work with. And they all are helping me learn. Hope someday schools, and especially B.Tech colleges become more like MSIT and with people, like the ones from my office.
